We’re excited to celebrate the release of Someone Else’s Hunger, the debut poetry collection by Isabella DeSendi. In her first full-length book, DeSendi explores the complex intersections of assault, desire, and Latinx heritage, all while searching for moments of beauty and tenderness amidst life’s challenges.
Isabella will be joined by poets José Olivarez, Yesenia Montilla, and Grisel Y. Acosta for an evening of poetry readings. Together, they will share work that addresses themes of dislocation, love, and survival within the context of the 21st-century United States.
Join us for this special night that weaves together personal and collective narratives, celebrating the art of poetry and Latinx heritage. Readings in Kray Hall with a reception to follow.
